Another Rock ‘n’ Roll Highlight from MusicaLea
The annual Lea community music festival MusicaLea was held at the Rose & Crown last Sunday and enjoyed yet another successful year. The community came together to run the BBQ, gifted an enormous selection of prizes to the raffle and had a fantastic time listening to the local artists who played through the day and into the evening.
Local Tetbury and Malmesbury photographers Sandie Cox and Tony Banks share a passion for wildlife and nature and are going to be staging a joint photographic exhibition this summer in the Town Hall at Malmesbury.
Atomic Bomb!, The Staves, The Cat Empire and MORE join the Womad 2015 Line-Up
Returning to the beautiful Charlton Park, July 23-26, WOMAD today adds more artists to the 2015 line-up creating another layer of magical music discovery that the festival has become known for. Today’s artists join the already-announced De La Soul, Tinariwen, Ghostpoet, Bellowhead and Laura Mvula to name a few.

Waitrose Malmesbury opened this morning at 8.00am, officially unveiled by the Mayor of Malmesbury - Sue Poole, Wiltshire’s Volunteer of the Year - Miriam Nicholls and Major Mick Moreton, Second in Command, 9 Regiment, representing the Royal Logistic Corps. They all joined Branch Manager, Fiona Orwin, and her new team in welcoming the store’s first customers.
